Miguel de Cervantes Don Quixote Quotes

Miguel de Cervantes, author of Don Quixote was born on September 29, 1547. He was known as The Prince of Wits and in celebration to the author of what is considered the first modern novel here are a few of his quotes from that work. Many Cervantes’ quotes are befitting a writer.

There’s not the least thing can be said or done, but people will talk and find fault.

No limits but the sky.

The pen is the tongue of the soul; as are the thoughts engendered there, so will be the things written.

Diligence is the mother of good fortune, and idleness — its opposite — never brought a man to the goal of any of his best wishes.
