November by Juli

To close out the month at BigShoes I found a YouTube video by a German group called Juli. In looking for more information since the info provided at YouTube for this particular video was sparse, I found and translated via Google, the German lyrics to this love song, or breakup song perhaps.

Here is another YouTube video as well, just as inspired as the first one I chose to publish at BigShoes today. I think it spoke to me more about the song than the other video. Perhaps the winter scenes and cold feel of what the artist or artists were trying to convey in this song related more.

I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving holiday. Here is November by Juli for the close of Writely Applied’s November.

Ask not after tomorrow,
because it remains hidden from thee,
Ask not what yesterday was.
We ziehn our circles,
on our trip,
where the sun was just yet.
We drown in twos in our words,
drown in twos in solitude.
Sometime in November.
Sometime in November.
Too long, too far, too much happens.
Sometime in November.
We lose ourselves in the rain,
Due to endless,
why can you stab me?
We ziehn ever,
because we are black riders,
on our way into the light.
We drown in twos in our words,
drown in twos in solitude.
Sometime in November.
Sometime in November.
Too long, too far, too much happens.
No matter what else comes, no matter what you say,
even if you remain silent now, I have failed.
No matter what else comes, no matter what you say,
even if you remain silent now, I have failed.
I have failed.
I know I’ve failed.
Because it is July,
because it is July,
because it is July.
Sometime in November.
Sometime in November.
Sometime in November.
Sometime in November,
I will go.
Sometime in November – whether you want it or not.
Sometime in November – whether you want it or not.
Sometime in November – whether you want it or not.
Sometime in November
we will no longer crave.
